As the travel industry rebuilds and recovers from the pandemic, “regenerative travel” has been named as a trend to watch. CatchOn has co-produced a white paper explaining this movement, in partnership with Regenerative Travel, a benefit corporation representing independently owned eco-boutique hotels dedicated to the highest levels of social and environmental impact.
The report includes case studies from hotels like Fogo Island Inn, Great Plains Conservation and Six Senses and draws on Regenerative Travel’s thought leadership which includes Anna Pollock (Conscious Travel), Bill Reed (Regenesis Group) and David Leventhal (co-founder of Regenerative Travel).
It provides a practical framework for moving regenerative travel from buzzword to paradigm shift.
“We hope to encourage the spread of regenerative tourism and to ensure more people (travelers and locals alike) are able to reap the rewards of tourism. In a time of great uncertainty affecting all areas of life, we at Regenerative Travel believe that tourism can be a transformative force to bring about positive changes within our economy, society and environment,” says Amanda Ho, co-founder of Regenerative Travel.
