A departure from existing JW Marriott hotels, JW Marriott Phu Quoc was an opportunity for the brand to position itself firmly in the luxury lifestyle space. CatchOn worked with the JW Marriott brand team to articulate the positioning of the hotel and develop a compelling narrative for world-renowned resort designer Bill Bensley’s design aesthetic. CatchOn worked on the account for three years from positioning to launch. As a result, JW Marriott Phu Quoc earned dual honours at the 2017 Annual World Travel Awards™ claiming the prizes for ‘Asia’s Leading New Resort’ and ‘World’s Leading New Resort.’ In its first year, JW Marriott was honoured with eight coveted industry awards, including ‘World’s Best New Resort Spa 2017’ at the World Spa Awards and ‘Luxury Design Hotel’ (Country Winner: Vietnam) and Luxury New Hotel (Continent Winner: Asia) at the 2017 World Luxury Hotel Awards.
