Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and prioritize account team deliverables, effectively delegating responsibilities and executing tasks according to each client’s brief as well as the demands of the overall agency client portfolio
  • Build strong client relationships and oversee multiple campaigns for different clients simultaneously 
  • Plan strategy meetings, brainstorming sessions, media interviews, events and research studies
  • Draft content such as press releases, briefing documents, fact sheets, executive biographies, brochures, trend reports and social media posts
  • Guide clients in the development of strategic plans, providing insights and proactive recommendations
  • Cultivate a deep pool of media contacts to mine insights and create client opportunities 
  • Foster teamwork and a constructive work environment by mentoring the account team
  • Support new business development, including the preparation of proposals and generating new ideas 
  • Ensure quality control by reviewing agency products including creative work, key client communications, schedules, and creative strategies

Skills & Values

  • 4-8 years of experience in PR, marketing, advertising or a related field, in-house or in an agency
  • Experience in account management, campaign strategy, social media and media planning
  • Has managed cross-functional teams and possesses excellent interpersonal skills and leadership qualities
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Chinese word processing); basic knowledge in Photoshop is an advantage
  • Creative problem solver with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong time management and organizational skills 
  • A team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
  • University graduate with a degree in a related field  
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Cantonese (Mandarin is advantageous)

In addition to the above qualifications for our Hong Kong team, we look for the following skills in candidates for our Shanghai team.

  • Local market experience in China and general knowledge of Chinese media channels
  • Comfortable with popular Chinese social media platforms such as WeChat and Weibo
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin is required
  • CET-6 or above
